Frequently Asked Questions

How long are the classes?

Classes are 2 hours long. We meet once a week on Saturday from 9-11 AM. We cover lessons for 1 hour and 40 minutes, and allow for free time in between breaks.

What if I join late?

No such thing! All students follow their own lesson track, and club leaders are always available to keep them from falling behind.

Will my kids have fun? Will they learn?

Our classes are specially designed to be engaging for kids, and we use platforms like Minecraft Education Edition to help them learn in a way that's fun for them.

Do kids need any prior coding experience to join?

No experience is necessary! Our classes are designed with starter programs like Scratch to teach kids from the ground up.

How long will the club last?

The club continues to teach new and more complex curriculums as the kids progress! We are actively developing more programs past the basics for kids to advance their programming knowledge.

What will be their final project or takeaway?

For their final project they will modify an aspect of Minecraft and show it off to other kids. Once this project is complete they will begin their journey into making their own Minecraft mod!

Will there be homework?

No, all materials are designed to be completed during the 2 hours they are here. However, if a student wishes to work on a project at home they are more than welcome too!

What if my student misses a class?

If a student misses a class we will catch them up the next week on any information they missed. Please contact us to let us know if multiple sessions will be missed.

How is the VR arcade involved? Will kids be using VR equipment?

We allow kids free time to play VR games at the end of sessions to reward them for their hard work throughout the day. Families are also welcome to come anytime during business hours to experience VR together!
